Today’s automatic transmissions are being produced with 6 8 and 10 speed transmission for fuel economy and transmission performance.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Changing gears in a manual transmission means using the clutch pedal and shifter to obtain the various road speeds.
Here at Independent Transmissions we are currently one of the few shops, in our area still rebuilding these units, with our many years of building expertise.
CLUTCHES
The clutch is what engages and disengages the transmission, helping the vehicle start and shift smooth while driving. If you notice it getting loud or slipping, bring the vehicle in for a free diagnostic. We can point you in the right direction for the necessary repairs.
